One of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, Gettysburg remains a place of national and historical significance. Although it did not bring an end to the war, the 3 short days of carnage where over 50,000 lives perished was a watershed moment, marking it as the turning point in the Civil War. It was at this site that Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address, one of the greatest and most quoted speeches in our History.
Through our pieces, we have taken special care to incorporate the many Monuments and Memorials that have been erected within these solemn grounds in order to commemorate those brave soldiers who fought in this most destructive battle of American history.
The Eternal Light Peace Memorial stands on the site of the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg. President F.D. Roosevelt dedicated the memorial on the 75th anniversary of the battle. Roosevelt compared the task of the men of the 1860's with the men of his day: "All of them we honor, not asking under which Flag they fought then - thankful that they stand together under one Flag now."
